Surgery or health screening in Taiwan? Recover with a nurse, not alone in a hotel

Taiwan has become a serious medical-travel option for Singaporeans — world-class hospitals, short waits, and procedure costs well below private care at home. What the hospitals don't provide is what happens after discharge: the taxi back to the hotel, the first night alone, the swelling you can't tell is normal or not. Alma's special nurses cover exactly that gap — escort during your hospital visits, one-on-one care during admission, and recovery care at your hotel until you're fit to fly home.

/ What's included

Covered from admission to your flight home

Book only the segments your trip needs — a single escorted hospital day, or two full weeks of post-operative care.

  • Hospital escort: registration, doctor communication, recording instructions in English
  • One-on-one special nurse during your inpatient stay
  • Discharge-day transfer and handover to your hotel
  • Recovery care: wound monitoring, medication, meals
  • Escorted follow-up visits with summarized reports
  • Pre-departure notes for your doctor back in Singapore
/ Why it matters

The first 72 hours post-op are the worst time to be alone

Infection, bleeding, falls, and medication side effects cluster in the first three days after a procedure. A patient alone in a hotel room can't reliably tell normal discomfort from a warning sign. With a clinically experienced nurse present, that judgment is never yours to make alone — and your family in Singapore hears how you're doing without having to call the hospital.

Frequently asked questions

I don't speak Mandarin — can the nurse handle the hospital for me?

Yes. Your nurse manages registration, explains your condition to hospital staff, confirms instructions and prescriptions, and explains everything back to you in English. We know the workflows of Taiwan's major hospitals.

Can I lock in a nurse before booking my flights?

Yes, and we recommend it — send us your procedure dates and we'll confirm nurse availability for that window before you book, so you never land without care arranged.

What does recovery care at a hotel cost?

The same flat rates as all our care: NT$6,000 (≈S$250) day shift, NT$6,600 night, NT$12,600 (≈S$520) for 24-hour cover. No hotel surcharge, and your written quote is confirmed before the trip.

Can you coordinate with my health screening package?

Yes. Tell us which hospital and package you've booked; we arrange escort and post-screening support around its schedule, including accompanying you to result consultations.

Tell us about your family's situation

We'll reply within 24 hours with a real plan and real costs.
